|Sugar Cane Extraction
|Fun at Home: Constellation Lanterns
|Visit Jahaira in Puerto Maldonado as she shows us the process of sugar cane extraction. This is a unique look at a popular delicacy in the coastal areas and how it can be made into a drinkable refreshment. Sugar cane, fresh from the fields, is a healthy source of energy before it is processed into sugar or “panela”.
|The great thing about star-gazing, it can be done anywhere in the world! Join Katie, our Sales Supervisor who will show us how to light up our homes and do some star-gazing of our own. This is a great activity to get younger kids interested in constellations and the night sky. Who knows, study them at home long enough with this fun project and you’ll be able to point out the constellations in the southern hemisphere during one of our treks.
|Custard from Paris
|Cooking Classes: Llapingachos
|Join Jeremy, our Sales and Operations Manager, as he gives us a taste of his home, from France. In Spanish, we call this a flan, in other parts it is also known as a custard. No matter what it is called, it is delicious and it’s our way of sharing a bit of ourselves with you during the Covid-19 quarantine. We are in this together!
|In the heart of the Ecuadorian Andes lies the Hosteria Papagayo. They invited us in for a closer look to see how the traditional dish of Ecuadorian Llapingachos is made. Make it at home, then try it for yourself when you visit Ecuador after quarantine!
