With your support, we can help children in need! As part of a collaboration with Niños de Waita Ticca, every Gulliver Tour will contribute towards improving the lives of Ecuadorian children living in difficult conditions.

For almost ten years the Dutch organization Niños de Waita Ticca have been helping to support families living in bad economic conditions. Niños de Waita Ticca provide shelter and education at their Daycare Center Villa Ticca, as well as everyday care for around 150 children who have experienced poverty and violence in their two facilities in El Camal, Quito and Peguche, near Otavalo.

The children of Villa Ticca are looked after and taught by professionally trained and loving nursery workers and teachers, giving their parents time to work for the family´s income or attend school. In addition to education and games, the children are provided with a warm lunch, clothing, clean sanitary facilities, and medical treatment, as well as social and psychological support for their families. Furthermore, Villa Ticca initializes working projects for teenage and single mothers allowing them to improve their financial and social situation.
Help us give the children of Villa Ticca the chance to lead a better life!

For every Gulliver Expeditions tour you join, we donate a percentage of the amount to Villa Ticca. In addition to the financial aid, we also organize little excursions to the countryside, offering the children exciting getaways from their daily life in Quito to learn more about plants, animals and the work and culture of the people living in the rural Andes.

To visit Villa Ticca in El Camal, Quito:
– Take the bus “Camal – Aeropuerto” at the corner of 12 de Octubre and Mariscal Foch.
– Ask the driver to let you off at the “5 esquinas” bus stop.
– From there, walk down Av. Juan de Alcazar about 5 blocks (until you reach a bright greenhouse on the left side) and take the Francisco Cobo following the instructions on the map. You can easily find Villa Ticca on the right-hand side because of its cow spot painting.
– To return, take the same bus from the 5 esquinas bus stop.
