This trip is designed for those who have a special interest in mindful activities, in this program, you will practice yoga and meditate with the Equatorial energy surrounding you. Strengthen your body and mind while you visit the most incredible places through the stunning trails of the Ecuadorian Andes.
Upon your arrival in Quito, you will be greeted by one of our drivers who will be holding a sign with your name. Our driver will pick you up and then transfer you to the beautiful Hotel Dann Carlton, where you will spend the night before your adventure in Ecuador begins.
Our guide will pick you up from your hotel and you will begin your day by exploring the historic center of Quito. This colonial city was the first to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978 due to having the best-preserved historic center in the Americas. The tour will show you the highlights such as La Plaza de la Independencia, La Iglesia de San Francisco, and the impressive Basilica de Voto Nacional. During this time you will learn of Quito’s turbulent history as well as take in the sights and sounds of daily Ecuadorian life.
Afterward, we have approximately a one-hour drive to Mitad del Mundo meaning ‘Middle of the world’. This is the point where you can stand with one foot in the Southern hemisphere and the other in the North. The Intiñan Museum shows an interesting range of experiments to demonstrate the uniqueness and magic of this special location.

After Yoga Session, you will enjoy a soft bike ride in the beautiful Andean nature towards Corazon Mountain which is part of the Avenue of Volcanos. It is an inactive volcano that offers you a beautiful and peaceful landscape where you can see Andean flora and fauna species.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga Class: The focus of this class will be on stretching the body, full and deep-breathing exercises, and working the muscles.
After Yoga Session you will start your journey to Quilotoa Crater Lake, it is a volcanic crater filled with crystal-blue water and holds a special place in local indigenous mythology for being bottomless. Along the drive to reach the crater you will pass by local markets in Saquisili (Thursdays) or Pujilí (Sundays) where you will gain an appreciation for the indigenous way of life. You’ll also pass through the canyon of Zumbahua which makes for a great photo opportunity and close to there you will visit an indigenous family. When you reach Quilotoa itself you can walk down from the rim to the water’s edge and appreciate its beauty up close for yourself. The hike back up is rather steep however there is always the option of renting a mule for a few extra dollars.
In the afternoon after you visit Quilotoa, you will have a Sunset Yoga Session – An Easy Yoga for stress relief.

After Yoga Session, our journey toward Illinizas begins. This exciting one-day mountain bike tour is designed to provide a unique experience of the Andes. The tour begins with an enjoyable drive to the “La Virgen” viewpoint, which is situated on the famous Illinizas North Volcano. These offer nice views of both, the Illinizas and Cotopaxi volcanoes and the surrounding countryside. From here we begin our first downhill descent into the small town of El Chaupi. We continue via 4 – wheel drive for an hour of off-road adventure. After a small hike, we reach our lunch destination at the Milagro Hot-springs and waterfall. This is a picture-perfect and natural way to relax the mind and muscles before continuing on the final exhilarating downhill descent of the day towards Pastocalle.

As one of the highest active snow-capped volcanoes in the world, Cotopaxi’s (5,897 m/19,347 ft) symmetric cone rises from a vast plain that is home to llamas, condors, and herds of wild horses. Cotopaxi National Park tour is an exciting day that begins with spectacular views of the unique Andean landscape in the “Avenue of the Volcanoes”. Inside the national park, we hike up to the refuge, which is situated at 4,810 m (15,780 ft) on the Cotopaxi snowline.
We will then have a short safety briefing before our descent on mountain bikes! There are two sections to mountain biking, the first of which we recommend to experienced riders. The journey finishes at the beautiful lagoon at the base of Cotopaxi.
Depending on conditions we will then hike up to 5,000 m (16,404 ft) where it can be possible to see the glacier. This tour goes to a height of 4,810 m (15,780 ft), you must be prepared for this kind of altitude. We recommend acclimatizing for at least two days around 3,000 m (9,842 ft).

Papallacta is home to hot thermal springs. The water is heated by the subterranean activity of the Antisana volcano. The series of pools sits between the foot of the Andean mountains and the start of the Amazon region. Needless to say, the surrounding landscape makes this a special place to relax. You are free to decide if you prefer relaxing in the thermal baths or indulging in luxurious spa treatments.
