Explore two of the most stunning countries in South America, the journey begins by entering the abundant Peruvian amazon rainforest, meet the most exotic flora and fauna, discover Machu Picchu and the Inca Empire, considered the greatest wonder of ancient architecture in the world, the Colca Canyon as one of the deepest in the world a very popular destination for hiking among rafting enthusiasts, located in southern Peru.
This tour starts with a flight from Lima to Puerto Maldonado, you will be picked up from the airport to the Amazon Lodge.
If you arrive after 12pm you will receive lunch in town, if you arrive earlier you will have lunch in the lodge. Regardless after lunch you will take a 1 hour boat ride down the Madre de Dios river through the heart of the jungle surrounded by a breathtaking scenery.
Upon arrival you will settle into your private bungalow. You can take a a short rest before meeting with your guide, walk around the lodge and inside the rainforest, winding past giant kapok trees, walking palms and tropical plants while being captivated by the sounds of nature within the forest.
Before dinner, you may take a walk with your guide and group while experiencing the jungle as it is transformed from day into night or a boat ride under the stars and moon along the river bank in search of alligators and capybaras. Return with your guide to the main house to delight in a dinner served by our awarded chefs.
After dinner you may return to your bungalow or relax in the company of other guests and volunteers while enjoying one of the famous cocktails at the Tunche bar and share your travel stories and experiences with others.
Overnight Amazon Lodge
After breakfast, you will start the day by walking among the giants of the forest, 300 year old trees towering above the jungle as you make your way to the first of two lodge platforms. The avatar platform is located 25 meters up in an ancient fig tree set above a mammal colpa that is a food source for many different types of animals all year round. Continue down and along the winding trails deeper in the jungle while keeping an observant eye out for wildlife as you make your way to the second canopy platform. Cross a 90 meter suspension bridge before arriving to the highest tree platform in south America! Located 45 meters up in the crown of a kapoc tree.
The 360 degree view from this platform is truly unforgettable!
Continue this journey by arriving at the Taricaya rescue centre (this is not a zoo). These animals are in the process of rehabilitation before being released back into the wild. Some of the animals the rescue center holds include jaguars, pumas, bears, wild dogs (the only one in captivity in the world), almost every feline and monkey specie that exist in these area have passed through these enclosures at one point before being released back into their natural surroundings in better health. Return to the lodge for lunch and a rest before continuing on with the afternoon activities.
After the visit to the rescue center you can explore the artificial beaches of the Taricaya turtle project, the butterfly house and the mahogany workshop. Return to the Lodge for a short rest before finishing the day’s activities with a caiman search or night walk.

After early breakfast you will checkout in order to take a boat returning to the city of Puerto Maldonado, our car service will be waiting to take you the airport for your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival in Cusco you will be transfer to the hotel, and after a short rest you will start your city tour in the afternoon to explore the impressive city of Cusco.
The history of the Inca Empire started here, the Imperial city of the Incas was a complex urban center with different religious and administrative functions. In Cusco’s historic center you will see Spanish buildings, native ruins, temples and finely finished buildings of the Inca, some of the main attractions in the downtown are the “Temple of the Sun” Qoricancha, at the main square Plaza de Armas.
After this visit you will continue to the nearby ruins:
Kenko: Here you will see its underground galleries and its semicircular amphitheater.
Tambomachay: This is a complex of walls connected by stairways, water springs which fed a well via channels in which apparently the Inca people bathed, for it is believed that he also worshipped water.
Puca Pucara: The red fortress that is located on a hill, possibly to defend force from enemies.
Sacsayhuaman Fortress: An imposing example of Inca military architecture, this fortress was built using large slabs of granite to safeguard the city from Antis attacks or invading forces from the east.
At the end of the tour you will be drop off in the city center or close to your hotel.
Today you will take an early transfer to the train station for your trip to Aguas Calientes, here you will be greeted by our staff that will help you board the bus towards the Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu in a approximately 25 minutes ride.
Once you arrive to Machu Picchu the guide will start your tour. Machu Picchu is surrounded by dramatic landscape between the Peruvian Andes and the Amazon Basil, Machu Picchu is consider the greatest wonder of ancient architecture in the world as symbolizes the Inca culture with all its historical, cultural and natural values. Machu Picchu is divided into a lower and upper part to separate farming from residential areas. It consists of subsidiary centers, an extensive road and trail system, irrigation canals and agricultural terraces.
At the end of the tour you will have the option to remain in Machu Picchu for a while or board the return bus that will take you back to Machu Picchu Pueblo for lunch (optional), after you will board the return train to the city of Cusco at the scheduled time.
After breakfast you will take your flight to Arequipa, upon arrival you will be transfer to your hotel, in the afternoon will start your city tour. Peru’s second largest city Arequipa is definitely worth visiting because of the white colored houses made from white volcanic ash and the fact of being one of the cleanest cities in Peru, Arequipa is also called the “white town”. Around one million people are living in the city that is surrounded by three volcanoes.
Founded by Spanish conquerors, the city is full of temples and colonial buildings, however, when you explore the historic center you can see both native culture and European influences. You will visit one of the most religious colonial buildings in Peru, the “Monasterio de Santa Catalina de Siena”, afterwards you can visit the churches of “La Catedral” and “Iglesia de la Compañía”. During your stay in Arequipa you have the possibility to try some really amazing types of food, we recommend you to order a spicy stuffed red pepper dish called “rocoto relleno”.
After breakfast will pick you up in the morning to start the journey to the Pampa Cañahuas at 4,500 meters. This area constitutes the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca, here you will will pass through Patahuasi, Alto Sumbay, Vizcachani, Toccra, Chucura and Patapampa where you can appreciate the viewpoint of the Andes at 4 800 Msnm.
You will arrive to the town of Chivay, have lunch and be transfer to your hotel. (Lunch optional). In the afternoon you will have the opyion to enjoy the thermal baths in “La Calera” whose thermo medicinal waters pools oscillate between 35º to 38º degrees celsius, after this activity you will be transfer to your hotel and later at the agreed time you will have a dinner (if is included) accompanied by a folkloric show.
Overnight Colca – Chivay
After breakfast you will be transported to the viewpoint of the Cruz Del Condor which is the best place in South America to see the Andean Condor, with its impressive 3 meters wingspan. From this famous point you have also one of the most impressive views of Colca Canyon which is the second deepest canyon in the world and it is a must if you are in Arequipa.
After lunch (if is included) in Chivay you will be transfer to the middle point between Arequipa and Puno, here your transport will take you to Puno.
The tour begin early with the pick up at your hotel in Puno. You will be brought to the port of Puno in order to be transfer to the floating islands of Uros. You will participate in a cultural demonstration that allows you to learn more about the life at Uros and this mystic culture. They historically called themselves Lupihaques “Sons of the Sun”. And the larger islands house about ten families. Afterwards we board the boat towards the Taquile Island. Once you arrive our guide will explain about the culture on this island.
The Taquileños are known for their fine handwoven textiles and clothing, which are regarded as among the highest-quality handicrafts in Peru. Knitting is exclusively performed by males that’s why , “Taquile and Its Textile Art” were honored by being proclaimed “Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity” . You will get a chance for a short walk to the main plaza. At lunch time we highly recommend to try the soup of Quinoa and the fried fish of the lake, after the lunch, you will go back to Puno to be transfer to your hotel.
Overnight in Puno
Early pick up from the hotel in Puno to transfer you to Copacabana Sanctuary and the local market. the you will have lunch (If included). After lunch it is the departure by shared boat to the Isla del Sol. Visit to the Inca Garden, Pilcokaina Palace, the Stairway and the Sacred Fountain of the Incas. Return by boat to Copacabana and then by road to La Paz.

In the afternoon you will take a city tour where you will visit the administrative capital of Bolivia. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in order to start exploring the city of La Paz, here you will visit the embroiderers street of typical costumes where colorful folk dresses are displayed. Excursion to the historical center of the city of La Paz, visit to the Witches Market (mystical articles of Andean region), Church of San Francisco, Murillo main square, Executive Palace, Legislative Palace, Metropolitan Cathedral and Killi Killi view Point.
Transfer by cable car to enjoy a beautiful panorama of La Paz city in one of the most picturesque and long cable urban air transport in the world. Unmissable visit to the impressive Moon Valley located at 10 km far from La Paz city center, these curious geological formations were created by the erosion of the winds and the heavy rains forming an attractive lunar landscape.
Overnight in La Paz
Today you will be transfer from your hotel in La Paz to the airport for your flight to Uyuni.
Upon arrival you will start the tour by visiting the train cemetery (old locomotives that was used as a transport of minerals), you will continue towards the village of Colchani, where you can observe the processing of the salt (drying, grinding and bagged salt) you will also have the opportunity to perform purchases of crafts made on the basis of salt.
After this activity you will visit the famous Salar of Uyuni. This is the world’s salt flat with 10,582 square kilometers. It is located in the Daniel Campos Province in Potosí (Southwest of Bolivia) at an altitude of 3,656 meters above the sea level. The Salar was formed as a result of transformations between several prehistoric lakes. It is covered by a few meters of salt crust, which has an extraordinary flatness with the average elevation variations within one meter over the entire area of the Salar.
In the rainy season (December to March) all the salt is covered with a layer of water that provides a Surreal visual experience. It looks like a Natural Mirror which reflects the sky. At a according time you will have a lunch (if included), we will continue our visit into the Incahuasi Island (rocky island in half of the salar where we will observe the giant cactus, some of them with more than 100 years old), then you will see the sunset which is a spectacular experience, after that you will be transfer to the airport for your flight to La Paz.
