Arrival to Papagayo with private transfer from airport
11:30 am – Welcome Meeting and presented with a journal specifically for retreat|

On the day you arrive from Ecuador you will be met by one of our drivers who will privately transport
you to the Hosteria Papagayo in Machachi, Ecuador. Machachi is located in the heart of the Avenue of
the Volcanoes. You will be impressed by the beautiful scenery on your way.
Once you arrive to Papagayo, you will have a welcome meeting and get to know your instructor and the
surroundings, and of course your accommodations. The rest of the day you will be given an instruction
on how the yoga retreat will be organized and begin with the activities as planned.

Meals included:  

On the second day of your Nature Yoga Retreat, you will spend a beautiful day hiking the nearby
mountain of Pasochoa. This is a great way to introduce yourself to the amazing mountains and
volcanoes that make up the Avenue of the Volcanoes. From Pasochoa you can see many different types
of landscapes, such as farmlands, a primary forest within the volcano, and nearby volcanoes Rumiñahui,
Corazon and the Illinizas North and South in the distance, and of course the ever-majestic Cotopaxi.
You will be accompanied with a private guide who knows the routes like the back of his hand. A boxed
lunch will be provided, as well as transportation to and from the destination.
After the hike you will be transported back to the Hosteria Papagayo where you can refresh yourself in
your accommodations or make use of the Jacuzzi and sauna.

8:30 am – breakfast
9:30/10 am – 2 hour horse session and ride on farm
12 – 4:30 pm – lunch and freetime
4:30 pm – detox juice
5:30 pm – yin yoga
7:00 pm – dinner

Today we return to the yoga retreat activities in the early morning with journaling and meditation,
accompanied by yin yoga, which will help us to truly connect with ourselves within.

Afterwards, we will have breakfast and move on to a unique and exciting equestrian activity that will
give you an experience that we are sure you have never had before. This horseback activity will allow
you to connect with not just the horse, but to also learn more about yourself and aid in your own
personal growth. Once we’ve worked on making these connections, we’ll take a ride on the farm.
After much self-discovery and horsing around, it is time for lunch. Enjoy some time for yourself for
personal reflection and then we will begin an afternoon yoga session with detox juice before beginning.
After, it will be time for dinner and we can wind down for the evening. Remember to participate in the
various activities going on at Papagayo!

Today you will travel a bit more south to the emerald green lagoon of Quilotoa Lagoon. This amazing
crater lake is a sight that cannot be missed when looking for a nature based escape. It is a visit full of
amazement. In a private transfer on the way to Quilotoa, you will the quilt-like landscapes that the
locals have made with their hard working hands, producing their agricultural goods and additional farm
lands. The ride goes through many pastures and small villages, it is one of the most eye-opening and
awe striking drives in Ecuador, you get to see a totally different world like you have never experienced
before.
Upon arriving to Quilotoa, take in the view from above the crater before making the trek down below to
the water’s edge. Make sure to wear a sturdy hiking shoe and long socks as the path can be both sandy
and rocky on the way down. Walking sticks are especially helpful on the return hike up. It is a very
steep trail. A boxed lunch will be given during the day, it can be enjoyed at the water’s edge or before
heading down, or once you’ve returned. When the day is done, you will be returned to Papagayo
Hosteria with your guide. Overnight Papagayo.

After an exciting day before at the Quilotoa Lagoon, we begin once more our journaling activities
continued by meditation and yoga flows. We’ll have breakfast afterwards and then get ready to
participate in a more in-depth horseback activity and take a bit longer of a ride after the experience we
had before. We will have either a boxed lunch or return to Papagayo to eat and then you can enjoy the
rest of the afternoon enjoying the farm animals, additional yoga, Jacuzzi, sauna, or some personal time.
In late afternoon we will meet together once more with the instructor for a detox juice and begin
another session of yoga. Keep in mind all yoga sessions will be to your degree of fitness levels and level
of experience in order to be to your personal benefit. Once yoga has ended, join everyone for dinner.

As our last full day in Ecuador, we will finish our Breathe Again Nature and Yoga Retreat in the Cotopaxi
National Park, saving the best for last!
As you’ve noticed the past few days, Cotopaxi may have been peaking out from time to time and
hopefully if the weather has cooperated the views have captivated your sense for adventure. Today
with a private guide you will enter the park and enjoy a beautiful day exploring the Limpiopungo Lagoon,
the various wildlife and landscapes, and a hike up to the Cotopaxi Refuge. Here you will actually walk up
the highest active volcano in the world. At the refuge you may even be able to touch the snow and if
you feel up to it, walk up to the glacier.
You’ll have a boxed lunch during the day and later return to Papagayo Hosteria. Enjoy your last night at
Papagayo!

Today, enjoy your last day at Papagayo with breakfast in the morning. Depending on your departure
time, you might be able to enjoy a walk or one last yoga session. Your return to the airport will be with
a private transfer.
