Here at Gulliver Expeditions, we believe in the endless health benefits of Yoga. As we care so deeply about our clients and their well-being while traveling, we decided to become part of the International Yoga Alliance. Our team member and Yoga Teacher, Mira, is 200-hour certified and will begin taking classes, workshops and Yoga retreats in the Hosteria Papagayo Cotopaxi. The Hosteria also provided the opportunity to take part in other activities such as horseback riding and horse guided coaching.
We will also offer Yoga classes in our new Yoga Studio overviewing the Plaza Foch in Quito.
These Ecuador Yoga Classes can be combined with any kinds of activities or tours, to either start or end the day healthy, strong and connected. Here are a list of some of our own amazing Ecuador Tours.
We also offer private classes with a special focus on injury recovery, deep relaxation and mental health improvement.
Yoga is not just a physical practice, it is a way of life. It is the connection to oneself and relaxed breathing. It is the love and compassion, the joy and the pure bliss of being present in the here and now.
Through the asana practice of Yoga, we reduce stress and strengthen our entire physical body and mind. We find that balance, which we all need more than ever, between our very busy lives and our endless daily to-do lists.
We find happiness and gratitude through the practise of Yoga, while also practicing self-love and giving ourselves and our usually busy minds some deeply needed attention. Within the practice, meditation will be inevitable. What is meditation? It is a one-point focus, the mind being in one place only. This can be your breath, your balance, an affirmation or your physical body.
The list of benefits is incredibly long – from all the physical benefits to the mental ones such as; reducing anxiety; depression; finding inner peace and learning to cope better with feelings. You will sleep better, you will make wiser food choices and you’ll even become more aware of your environment.
So, when is the best moment to start? Now! At any age, after injuries or mental illnesses, Yoga has been proven to always positively influence your life for the long-term in an engaging and healthy way.
